The Long Beach Police Foundation (LBPF) in partnership with the Long Beach Unified School District, the Education Foundation, Long Beach Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Long Beach Transit and Target host an annual “Shop with a Cop” children’s shopping spree in the fall. This event encourages positive interactions between elementary students and officers and is designed to empower students from under resourced backgrounds in the Long Beach area by providing funding toward school clothing and supplies. During Shop with a Cop, each child is matched with an LBPD officer to purchase clothing and supplies for school needs. Students also enjoy breakfast along with games and arts and crafts.

Financial or in-kind donations toward this event to help provide shopping gift cards, school supplies and food for the event. All gifts are tax-deductible. Checks should be made out to the Long Beach Police Foundation or given online through our donation link. Indicate “Shop with a Cop” in the note section to designate your gift for this program. Participating students are pre-selected from the Long Beach community through the LBUSD Foundation. This event is invitation only.
